a little (more) about me:

For as long as I can remember I had dreamt of growing up to be a Teacher. I was lucky enough to be able to achieve that little girls dream. I taught for 6 years before I got burnt out and decided to see what else was out there for me!

While I was still teaching, throughout various years I taught Kindergarten all the way through 6th grade. Being an Intervention Specialist you often teach multiple grade levels at a time within your classroom. Although, I do miss the kiddos I still think it was the right choice for me to leave the classroom.

After leaving the classroom I began working at Children’s Hospital as a Case Manager helping kiddos get linked with various resources and clinics in our area. Outside of work, I spend most of my time at home with my kitties and family. If you love cats, I’d love to show you photos of ours! I may be biased but they are just the sweetest kitties! I also love taking daily walks and spending my evenings reading.

So, why did I choose to become a VA now? I have been yearning for more ever since leaving teaching. I have had an itch to use the skills that I haven’t been able to use since leaving. Skills such as problem-solving, my knack for organization and time management. Meanwhile doing so I get to create and enjoy a more flexible schedule for myself as well for a more balance life style.
